          Tomorrow is a BIG day for us! It's our time to show the state what we're made of !!! You will do fantastic tomorrow. Please to go to bed soon, eat a breakfast in the morning and come to school with a good , " can do" attitude!Think through your work, double check yourself and feel confident that we will defeat this test!I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Study Guide for Life Cycles test

Test is Thursday

·      Know what makes a complete and incomplete life cycle.

( what the stages look like and the number of stages per each)

·      Know what happens in each stage in the metamorphosis either an incomplete or complete.

·      Know the difference between each stage.

·      You need to be able to read and comprehend information about a life cycle of an insect.

·      Know how to measure in Millimeters.

·      Be able to compare two different life cycles.

 Just a few notes:

• Science and Social Studies test is scheduled for Wednesday.Study guides have been given.
• Field trip is this week. I am still missing permission slip from a few kids.
• Pictures day is this week also.
• Math day is coming up on Friday.
• Early Dismissal on Friday.
• End of the 9 weeks on Friday.
• Grade book closing before then.

Parents,

     Just to keep ya informed, I wanted you to know that a Social Studies test is on the horizon. The first full week in March, to be exact.A study guide will be coming. Also, that same week, the kids can expect a test in Science also. Let me look into a study guide as well. Somebody remind me, if I forget.
     Also, the kids are taking a Science benchmark on Thursday. It's like a STAAR practice. It will cover all the stuff we will cover over the remainder of the year so they can expect to see things they haven't been taught. I will be reminding them to use their strategies and to think through it. Please help me remind them too!

Chapter 11 Study Guide for Social Studies

·      What landmark did Lewis & Clark see on their adventures.

·      Know about Zebulon Pike

·      Look at the vocabulary words in the sections for the chapter.

·      Re-read about the War of 1812.

·      Know what a war hawk is.

·      Know about Andrew Jackson.

·      Know what a democracy is.

·      Know about the Treaty of Hidalgo.

Week of December 17-21st

During the week of December 17-21st, we will have a Social Studies and Science test.
For Social Studies, re- reading Ch. 11 and working the chapter review would help.
The Science test will be over Changes to the Earth and Fossils. The kids have a journal, a text book and study island would help.
Flash cards are coming also!
