Week of December 17-21st

During the week of December 17-21st, we will have a Social Studies and Science test.
For Social Studies, re- reading Ch. 11 and working the chapter review would help.
The Science test will be over Changes to the Earth and Fossils. The kids have a journal, a text book and study island would help.

Tuesday

     Hello!!! Just wanted to keep you updated. We have benchmark testing starting tomorrow. Also, we have a vocabulary test and an energy test on Friday. The kids do have their study guides for energy.      
     As far as homework, the kids have to read for 30 mins. in their AR books. They have a new sign it sheet. The kids also have 1/2 sheet to have signed if they watch the election returns tonight.
     At NES, we voted and Barack Obama won. We also had debates in Social Studies and he won there too! Ask your child about it!        I wonder if the American voters will agree?

Busy Week ahead!!

     This coming week, we have a lot on our plate!! We have the Elections this week. Who will win? We've been studying about both candidates. We will vote at NES on Tuesday!  Also, this week, we have Benchmark testing in Reading and Math. This data will be used to form tutoring groups, ARI and AMI groups. Please do your best! We have a holiday next Monday for Veteran's day!! aww...rest... Have a super weekend!!

Discover The Dinosaurs Is Coming To The Expo!
 


Discover The Dinosaurs, a hands on exhibit including over 60 animatronic and museum quality dinosaurs replicas is coming to the EXPO! November 2,3, &4th. Kids and family are encouraged to get up close and touch some of the dinosaurs on display, an opportunity which isn't usually available in museum exhibits and other dinosaur events. This is the cornerstone of Discover the Dinosaurs. In addition to the exhibit, other activities included in admission price are the DINO DIG, DINO DEN PLAY AREA, SCAVENGER HUNT, AND DINO THEATER. *Several other attractions including gem & fossil panning, face painting, dinosaur inflatable, mini golf, and dino rides are available for additional charge.
